ROCKFORD, Illinois (WIFR) – Rockford Christian star pitcher Mats Tuneberg has penned and signed his national letter of intent to Wichita State University.

Tuneberg is one of Illinois’ top bowlers and will join the nation’s top college bowling program. Wichita State is the nation’s most successful bowling program with 24 national championships.

“It feels great, so it was a long decision to decide where I wanted to go, but since I got to camp back I think it was 2022, in Wichita, I loved the campus, I loved the school, he loved the team and he always wanted to go there,” Tuneberg said.

Tuneberg hopes to add to the Shocker’s trophy count throughout his college career.
