KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – Police have at least one person in custody who they believe is responsible for a deadly shooting near a Kansas City park.

Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department Just after 5:10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, emergency crews responded to N. 6th St. and Splitlog Ave. near Holy Family Park. He says he was called to his area for a report of an armed attack.

When first responders arrived, they said they found a person with an apparent gunshot wound. It was determined that the person named died at the scene.

Law enforcement officials noted that a suspect was located and quickly taken into custody. Their identities have not yet been disclosed.

KCKPD said the investigation into the incident is ongoing. No further information has been released. Anyone with information should report it to the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
