Christian Joy scored the game-winning touchdown on a 16-yard reception and the Trinity football team defeated Schuylkill Valley 20-17 in overtime in the District 3 Class 3A semifinals on Friday, Nov. 8.

Moving out of the backfield, Joy caught a pass from quarterback Mason Boyer at the 7-yard line and then advanced past the Panthers defense toward the end zone.

Schuylkill Valley left the door open for Joy’s heroics by kicking a 29-yard field hockey field goal early in overtime.
