ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office says a missing woman who went to Orangeburg was found dead Thursday afternoon.

Valerie Goff, 66, was reported missing Friday after reportedly going to Walgreens on John C. Calhoun Drive the day before. Investigators learned he never made it to Walgreens.

“We are asking for prayers for this family,” Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said. “If you know them, please give them comfort and support.”

The Nissan Cube was discovered in floodwaters near Glover and Andrews avenues, according to spokesman Richard Walker.
