Missing Wylie mother of two found safe after four days – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Melonie Ballenger, the subject of a recent CLEAR Alert, was found alive but “severely dehydrated” near her home around 5:15 p.m. Friday, police said.

He was found by a neighbor while walking his dog near Abby Lane and Tyler Trail, about a mile from Ballenger’s home on Parkwood Drive. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police did not disclose why he did not return home or any additional details about his discovery.

It was reported for the first time She went missing from her husband in the early hours of Monday morning. He told police he left home the night before without his phone or vehicle.

Wylie police conducted land and air searches of the area and encouraged neighbors to check outside security cameras but were unsuccessful in locating him.

“We’ve searched most of the wooded areas and there’s a dam nearby,” said Sgt. Donald English of the Wylie Police Department said. “We’ve searched the waterways near his home and are tracking anywhere he might be.”

The family declined to comment further on the incident and asked that their privacy be respected at this time.

An investigation is ongoing.
