WWE has announced new information about the upcoming “Saturday Night Main Event.”

In the spirit of capturing the retro feel of the classic special from the 1980s and 1990s, WWE, via its 14 December.

The video features clips of WWE Legends such as Koko B. Ware, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and Andre the Giant, and a brief voiceover from “Mean” Gene Okerlund, while current WWE Superstars also appear. Cody RhodesLiv Morgan and Jey Uso.

In its original incarnation, “Saturday Night Main Event” aired on NBC from 1985 to 1991 before moving to Fox in 1992. The specials are designed to feature pay-per-view-style matches throughout the entire card.

The March 14, 1987 edition holds the highest ratings of any program airing in the 8:00 pm timeslot for NBC, boosted by the battle royal featuring both Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant before their matches at WrestleMania III.

The program was briefly revived from 2006 to 2008, and its name was used for house shows held in 2022.

WWE also announced a 360-degree seating arrangement that will allow fans to feel closer to the action, and the video touted newly released premium seating tickets for the event. The event itself will be simulcast as a two-hour special on NBC and Peacock starting at 8pm EDT.

As of press time, no matches have been announced for the card, but WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes will Roman ReignThe promotional poster features Liv Morgan, Bianca Belair and Seth Rollins.
