Police said a gray Lexus sedan lost control after reckless driving and collided with four parked vehicles, all occupied by parents waiting for their children’s soccer practice to end.

One of the mothers suffered minor injuries to her head and shoulder. Medical teams treated the young woman at the scene and discharged her.

Immediately following the collision, the driver of the Lexus, Angel Uribe (Santa Rosa resident), allegedly attempted to flee onto a nearby footpath, but bystanders chased after him and physically detained him until police arrived.

Uribe was on probation for a previous DUI for which he was convicted in 2023, as well as pretrial probation for his Aug. 7 DUI arrest.

He was arrested and booked into the Sonoma County jail for a drunk driving crash that resulted in injury; DUI collision with a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher causing injury; Hit-and-run collision causing injury; providing false identification to a peace officer; driving on a suspended license due to previous DUI; and violation of probation.

A Sonoma County Superior Court judge approved a higher bail amount due to the seriousness of the alleged crimes. Uribe is currently being held on $500,000 bond.
