Girlfriend accused in livestreamed attack in Sanford wanted by police

Police filed a criminal complaint Second woman linked to deadly shooting in Sanford neighborhood broadcast live on social media.

Lakevia Davonna Pringle has been charged with premeditated murder in the first degree, police said. Lauren is the girlfriend of Savon Chantay Tyler, who was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the Nov. 5 shooting death of Ashley Martin.

Police said Pringle was not in custody and was not cooperating with the investigation. Anyone who knows his whereabouts or has information about the shooting is asked to contact the Sanford Police Department.

Sanford police said officers responded to the Greystone Townhomes around 7 p.m. on Election Night, Nov. 5, and found Martin bleeding in the street from gunshot wounds to his arm and abdomen. Martin later died in hospital.

According to the report, Martin and Tyler had an ongoing fight, and that evening, Martin drove to Tyler’s house, where the two met on the street and began arguing. Police said the fight then turned physical, with both men hitting each other with a miniature children’s baseball bat and ending with Tyler shooting Martin twice.

Police said both Martin and Tyler’s girlfriend, Pringle, livestreamed parts of the attack on social media. During the livestream, police allege Pringle encouraged his girlfriend, Tyler, to continue the fight that led to the shooting.

Police said before the shooting, Tyler left his home with a 9mm handgun and a baseball bat and “strategically” left the gun on top of a green toolbox.

Tyler initially claimed self-defense, but police said those claims were not supported.
