October murder suspect did not admit guilt in first hearing

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A murder suspect is in jail and the Columbus Police Real Time Crime Center helped make the arrest.

Dejahn Glenn, 28, is charged with murder in the death of 38-year-old Sekedra McCoy.

According to authorities, McCoy suffered multiple gunshot wounds during the incident on October 30. and later died in Piedmont Columbus Regional.

Authorities confirmed the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the 200 block of 20th Avenue in the Elizabeth Canty Apartment Homes area.

Glenn appeared in the Recorder’s Court on Friday morning for his first appearance and pleaded not guilty.

Columbus police testified through the Real Time Crime Center’s access to video cameras in the area. Direct Glenn to the scene at that time shooting incident.

Police said witnesses who heard the gunshots identified Glenn from the photo shoot as the man who ran from the scene after the shooting that killed McCoy.

The case moves to the Supreme Court – Glenn is being held without bail.
