CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – A restaurant in downtown Cedar Rapids is closing its doors.

According to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page, Taco Gato’s owners wrote: “Despite our love for this venture, we realized we needed to focus our unique energy and talents on areas where we could truly thrive. “It is very important for us to make choices that are compatible with our vision and that will enable us to achieve lasting success.”

According to the post, the last day Taco Gato will be open will be Saturday, Nov. 23.

Taco Gato opened on 3rd Street SE in 2023 and describes its menu as “Tex-Mex meets southern.”
