Rome, as they say, wasn’t built in a day. Neither will the disintegration of the vast, progressive regulatory state that has grown to enormous proportions under the Biden-Harris administration.

But that doesn’t mean that before Trump’s resounding victory, and now even after his win of the U.S. Senate and possibly the House of Representatives, some smart people in Trump’s kitchen cupboard weren’t discussing how to wake up much of the administrative state. Return agencies like the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to their original, Congressionally mandated purposes as consumer protection arms of government.

It’s a crackdown on all things crypto, a business Trump has now embraced.
