British supermodel Georgina Cooper passed away at the age of 46.

When she died, Cooper was on the Greek island of Kos with her new husband, Nigel, whom she had married a few months earlier.

The couple was setting up a bar on the island where their family was located.

One of the most iconic faces of the ‘Cool Britannia’ aesthetic of the 1990s, Cooper first started modeling at the age of 15 and quickly rose to superstardom.

Manager Dean Goodman said: MailOnline today: ‘He loved Greece and she told me she was coming back with her new husband but tragically she died there two weeks ago.

‘Georgina had been unwell during Covid and had developed some health problems and was in and out of hospital.

‘But he had plans for the future. He had just gotten married and was looking forward to his life. Everyone is miserable. ‘He was a real superstar’.

Cooper was one of the iconic models, including her friend Kate Moss, who helped redefine Britain in the eyes of the world in the ’90s.

Model and friend Jade Parfitt told the publication: ‘Her friends and family are absolutely devastated, Georgina was a ray of light, a very popular model, so much fun, always laughing and up to mischief in the best way possible. We all wanted to hang out with George backstage. ‘His achievements in the industry have been enormous.’

After modeling for major fashion houses such as Alexander McQueen, Burberry and Stella McCartney, Cooper decided to leave the industry to raise her only child, Sonny.

She said in 2018: ‘After my son was born I couldn’t stand leaving him alone and wanted to be there for him. I tried to continue modeling but it broke my heart having to leave it for work.

‘I focused on modeling assignments in London but my life was at a crossroads and I decided Sonny would come first.’

Cooper worked closely with photographer Corinne Day, who considered the young Cooper a creative muse and loved his now-iconic gap-toothed smile.

Cooper said of the experience: ‘I started working with Corinne Day when I was 15. I went to his house to meet him and Tara Hill.

Corinne really loved my look; He especially liked the space between my teeth and also liked my personality.

‘The following week we did our first shoot for Ray Gun magazine. It was a great time – we all had so much fun – and it was great working with Corrine.

‘I was so young at the time that I didn’t really realize how impactful the work we were doing was until I got older and people were complimenting me on the work we were doing together.’

Cooper’s cause of death is unknown.
