Deputies responded to see if there was an emergency and found an intoxicated male in the home. He admitted calling 911, but said it was a mistake and explained that he was getting used to a new phone. He denied needing any medical attention. Nothing criminal was found.

On Tuesday, Oct. 29, deputies received a report of a man running on the shoulder of Loveland Pass on U.S. Highway 6 without shoes or a shirt during a snowstorm. When the Dillon Police Department contacted the man earlier in the day, he reportedly told an officer he was training for a marathon and preferred not to wear shoes. Deputies checked Loveland Pass due to poor weather conditions but were unable to find the shoeless runner.

On Thursday, Oct. 31, a Keystone man purchased tickets to a sporting event in Denver on Facebook and sent money via PayPal. The seller has since blocked her on Facebook and never sent her a ticket. The sale was probably a scam.

Also Thursday, an unincorporated man in Breckenridge met a woman online who sent him nude photos of herself. After the footage was sent, the man Facetimed him shirtless. Later, the woman who recorded the Facetime changed her image to a picture of someone clearly underage performing sexual acts that appeared to have participated in an inappropriate Facetime with a teenager. He threatened to publish her photos and personal information online if she didn’t send money. The man did not send money, but instead reported the situation to deputies. Report received.

In another incident on Thursday, deputies received a report of a man standing completely naked outside the sliding door of his home for at least 10 minutes. He reportedly did this several times and was visible from a common apartment area. No inappropriate movements were made, but three women and a teenager who saw the man became worried. Deputies contacted the man, who said he was extremely high in THC and didn’t realize anyone could see him. He was apologetic and upset that a young man had witnessed him. Nobody wanted to press charges. The man was given a stern warning and advised to keep his curtains closed if he was going to be naked in his home.

On Saturday, November 2, a woman in Summit Cove called for help after an unidentified man yelled and banged on her door, then her neighbor’s door. Deputies contacted the man, who was extremely intoxicated, wandering around and had abrasions all over his legs, according to the Sheriff’s Office. When deputies attempted to remove him from the porch, he refused to comply and deputies detained him until EMS arrived on scene to evaluate him. Due to the level of drunkenness, St. Anthony was taken to Summit Hospital. Nothing criminal was found.

A woman watching a live webcam in Keystone on Sunday, Nov. 3, saw two men with their headlights on pass the camera. Then he thought he saw them starting a fire. He reported the situation to the deputies who intervened in the area. It was determined that what the woman thought was a fire was the lights on the snowmaking equipment, and no fire or suspicious activity was found.

Also Sunday, deputies responded to a report from a home in unincorporated Dillon that a woman one of the tenants had met on Tinder a few days earlier showed up uninvited and kicked in a side door, causing damage. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the woman was extremely drunk, her dog was running around and she was uncooperative with deputies. After investigating, deputies issued the woman a summons and informed her that the residents did not want her to stay. He reportedly told deputies that he would sleep outside despite not being properly dressed due to adverse weather conditions and would be responsible for any injuries he sustained. Because of his level of intoxication, deputies “felt he was a danger to himself because he was unable to make rational decisions with respect or care for his personal needs or safety,” the sheriff’s logbook states. “He was taken to St. Anthony Summit Hospital for emergency commitment, his dog was taken to the Summit County Animal Shelter, and his vehicle was left in the driveway of the residence.
