Oteng tops goalscoring tally in Professional Gaming Academy League

Under-21 Women’s forward Persis Oteng finished the first stage of the Professional Game Academy (PGA) League at the top of the goalscoring list.

The young striker has scored an impressive 10 goals in eight PGA League matches, with Chelsea’s Lois Shooter and Southampton’s Tash Udebhulu also coming in second with seven goals.

Competing for Ghana in the Under-19 category, Persis scored four magnificent goals in our 9-1 defeat of Crystal Palace in September, and then scored his second hat-trick of the season in a 4-2 home win over Southampton.

He also found the back of the net against London City Lionesses and Bristol City and has made a great start to his campaign with Nick Hardy’s side.

The Ghana Under-19 international was in impressive goal-scoring form with Chesham United in the FA Women’s National League Plate fixture, taking her tally to 12 goals in all competitions despite a narrow 3-2 defeat against top-flight opposition.

Our Under 21 Women’s teams started the second stage of the PGA League with a penalty shootout victory in Brighton on Wednesday afternoon, 6 November, earning them two points in the opening match of the competition.
