Media broadcasts began shortly after the polls closed Vice President Kamala Harris’ unsurprising victory in VermontHe defeated former President Donald Trump 63% to 32%, according to unofficial results from the Vermont Secretary of State’s Office. A majority of voters in 188 towns and cities chose Harris, while 59 preferred Trump. Until Wednesday morning It was clear that Trump won the presidency.

It is noteworthy that Trump performed better in Vermont this year than in his previous two races. He garnered more than 95,000 votes in 2016, 113,000 in 2020, and more than 119,000 this time. He also received a higher percentage of votes this year, at 32%, compared to 30% in 2016 and 31% in 2020.

Republican in the race for lieutenant governor John Rodgers successfully unseated incumbent Progressive/Democratic Governor David Zuckerman received just over 46% of the vote. A majority of voters in 169 towns chose Rodgers, while 78 towns chose Zuckerman.
