AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – Akron police are investigating and the 18-year-old was shot Tuesday afternoon.

Police said they responded to calls about a shooting to the 1500 block of Garman Road around 5 p.m.

Officers said when they arrived they found an 18-year-old with apparent gunshot wounds.

EMS treated the victim at the scene and later transported him to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury, police said.

Police reported that the investigation is ongoing.
