District OPP and the Ontario Fire Marshal are investigating a fatal fire in Wasaga Beach last night.

According to Huronia West OPP, the fire was reported at 6:15 p.m. on Nov. 5 and one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The fire at the Dunkerron Avenue home was not considered suspicious, but police and the fire chief investigate all fatal fires.

“The investigation is ongoing. Residents in the area should expect police and emergency services to remain present throughout the day,” the news release said. The statement is included.
