In Memory of Dragon Age: The Veilguard It is a side quest you can take in Dock Town in Minrathous. This mission has you become a detective who will help the spirit of Mercy bring peace to the victims of a brutal murder spree.

But as with most things Dragon Age: Guardian of the VeilThis is not a simple case because demons will stand between you and solving the murders. Don’t let that stop you, you are Rook and you have a job to do.

Dragon Age The Veilguard Monument walkthrough

To start In Memoriam, go to Razikale Walk in Dock Town and you will find a corpse on the ground with a sword impaled on it. We have marked its location for you on the map below:

Interact with the body to investigate and several demons will appear, one of which will be Despondance and they are slightly stronger than the others. Struggle with these and the spirit of Compassion will emerge in the body.

Talk to Compassionate to learn that this is one of three demonic murders in Dock Town, and being the helpful person you are, you decide to investigate them and find out who the victims are.

First murder – Bridge murder

To find out who the first murder victim was (since you’ve already found his body), go up the small stairs behind where you encountered Compassionate and follow the trail of blood on the floor. It will take you up a set of stairs to your left.

At the top of the stairs, follow the blood trail on the left and enter a small building here. When you enter the building there will be a book on the table to the left, interact with it to find out that the first victim was a gardener.

Mercy will appear once again and you will have solved the Bridge Murder, leaving two more people to solve.

Second murder – Temple murder

In the second murder, your first mission is to find the victim. To do this, go outside the building you are in and follow the quest sign to your left. It will take you past a fast travel signal and through a set of gates to the Temple of Andraste.

In here, head left and go up the long stairs here. If you come across Venatori here, deal with them or run past them (they’re not that important right now). Continue across the courtyard towards the Temple and follow the path between the columns to your right.

Then, follow the path on the left and you will reach Andraste’s Watch. When you get here, go to the wooden platform on your right, you will find the victim there.

More demons will appear when you interact with them, this time the strongest is Regret but you can defeat them just like you did before.

After defeating them, Compassion will appear next to the victim. Talk to them and your next mission will be to find out who they are. Follow the blood trail from the corpse down the stairs and to the right.

Continue following the path and it will lead you to a workbench located on a slightly elevated area near the Fen’Harel statue. Interact with the piece of paper on this table to find out that the victim is a Scholar named Marcus.

There remains one more murder to solve.

Third murder – Sunday murder

To find the last murder victim, we used the fast travel marker just to the left of the murder scene marked on the map (it made getting there much faster):

Go left at the sign and follow the path here until you find a set of large gates. You’ll see more blood trails in front of the doors, follow them to the left and you’ll find the victim near the wall here. As you get closer more demons will appear and this time the stronger one is called Isolation. Remove these as you did with the previous sets.

When the demons come down, talk to Compassion next to the corpse. Follow the blood trail from the body forward and to the left. When it stops, jump over the ledge to the wooden platform to your right and go up the ladder there.

At the top of the stairs, head to the right, where you’ll find a scroll on the edge of a chest. Read this to find out that the victim was an artist.

That’s it – you will now have solved all three murders and brought peace to Compassion!
