A hacker group known as “Grep” reportedly infiltrated Schneider Electric’s internal project tracking system and stole approximately 40 GB of data in the latest cyberattack targeting the French multinational.

Grep, which renamed itself the “Hellcat ransomware gang,” claimed to have accessed Schneider’s Atlassian Jira server using compromised credentials and scraped 400,000 lines of sensitive user data.

The data reportedly includes names and email addresses of both employees and customers, along with project files and other critical details.
