The IDF said several Hezbollah operatives responsible for the rocket attack on Israel were killed in airstrikes led by 36th Division troops.

Hezbollah’s rocket arsenal was said to have dropped to about 20 percent compared to pre-war levels, and its drones to 30 percent.

The latest attack came as protests broke out in Israel on Tuesday. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fires Yoav GallantSecretary of Defence.

Protesters took to the streets in Nahariya, Haifa and Jerusalem, cities close to Netanyahu’s residence. Israeli police dispersed protesters who were blocking highways and lighting bonfires in Tel Aviv.

Mr Netanyahu claimed there was a crisis of confidence in his management of Israel’s ongoing military operations and replaced Mr Gallant. Israel KatzHe was previously foreign minister.

Mr. Gallant and Mr. Netanyahu, both from the right-wing Likud party, have clashed for months over the goals of Israel’s 13-month war in Gaza against the Palestinian militant group Hamas.
