The StarShine Committee announced that, unlike the traditional two-night event, this year’s StarShine festivities and the Wheels of Lights Parade will take place together on Saturday, December 7. All StarShine events will move to the Yates County Courtyard, leaving their previous Main Street location.

This year, the Lights on Wheels Parade will take a long route, starting on East Main Street next to the Yates County Fairgrounds and ending on North Main Street in front of the Yates Community Center. The committee hopes that combining events will alleviate volunteer demands while improving the community experience.

Beloved StarShine traditions such as Santa visits, Elf School and tractor rides will continue, and efforts are underway to encourage attendees to explore downtown shops and restaurants during the celebration. More details on promotional activities for Main Street businesses will be announced soon.
