A minibus was trapped between width restriction barriers for almost seven hours.

The driver of a white Vauxhall got his car stuck in the pinch point on Murston Church Road, near Sittingbourne, before a Salvatori delivery truck also got stuck.

Eyewitnesses said that the first blockage on the route to Dolphin Road and Eurolink Industrial Zone occurred at around 11.15 yesterday.

Approximately 25 minutes later, at around 11.40, the second vehicle was seen stuck on the opposite side of the road.

One person who saw the second jam told KentOnline: “The driver passed and got stuck.

“He got out of the minibus to see what was going on, got back in and continued forward with a great struggle, but he must have damaged his minibus.”

Police were called to the scene just after 12.45pm and officers helped direct traffic during the recovery of the vehicle. Vauxhall was cleared around 6pm.
