Demonie Hickson (Atlanta Police Department)

ATLANTA – Atlanta police are asking for the public’s help in finding 12-year-old Demonie Hickson, who went missing Monday afternoon.

Officers from the Atlanta Police Department’s Special Victims Unit were dispatched to Windsor Avenue SW just before 5 p.m., where they spoke with a family member who reported the child missing.

Demonie was last seen leaving his home after an argument with his guardian.

He is approximately 4 feet 11 inches tall, weighs approximately 200 pounds, and was last seen wearing a white shirt and jeans and no shoes, according to authorities.

Investigators raised a Critical Missing Child alert and released a photo of the child. Anyone with information on Demonie Hickson’s whereabouts is asked to call 911, the Atlanta Police Department Special Victims Unit at 404-546-4260, or Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
