Will the Cowboys QB play against the Eagles next week?

ATLANTA – Dak Prescott suffered a double defeat on Sunday.

Only Dallas Cowboys The star playmaker, who suffered his third consecutive loss, was out of the game in the second half with an injury to his right hamstring.

Prescott was injured during a tackle late in the third quarter – he was unsure whether the injury occurred while running or tackling – and was replaced by Cooper Rush in the fourth quarter. 27-21 defeat Atlanta Falcons.

He remained in the game for at least two games after suffering the injury, and was seen grimacing in pain as he completed a 10-yard pass to Jalen Brooks on the game’s next-to-last snap. When Prescott walked onto the field after the tackle, he noticed the injury and felt a pain he had never felt before. He wanted to remain in the game but was denied after being reviewed by the Cowboys’ athletic training staff.

“’Can I make it worse?’ I asked. ” said Prescott. “They said I couldn’t protect myself.”

Prescott will undergo an MRI to determine the extent of his injury, but is hopeful it won’t jeopardize it in next Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles at AT&T Stadium.

“I’ll say I’ll be there next week,” said Prescott, who completed 18 of 24 passes for 133 yards with a touchdown and zero interceptions on Sunday.

“I hope I can say that I am recovering quickly and making rapid progress with injuries and other issues. I’m grateful for that. We should take a picture of it. I guess we’ll see how bad it is. “It’s going to take a lot for me not to be there.”

As he left the postgame press conference, Prescott’s injury was barely noticeable as he walked off the stage and towards the locker room. He acknowledged that a better read on his condition will come later in the week and the extent to which he will be able to participate in training.

The quarterback’s mobility behind a shaky offensive line is crucial. He was sacked three times on Sunday and rushed three times for 30 yards, including an 18-yard rusher.

Prescott said it was “very, very difficult” to leave the game.

“I know how much we need this,” he said. “I just wanted to go out there and compete.”
