Two killed in crash in Far East El Paso

UPDATE: The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the identities of the two people killed in the Saturday night crash as 29-year-old Rick Ballard and 28-year-old Dalia Olivas.

Ballard was found dead at the scene, according to EPCSO. Olivas was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office added that the gunman will be arrested on two counts of intoxication manslaughter after he is released from the hospital. Authorities did not disclose the names of the criminals.

Update: An El Paso County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson confirmed that two people died as a result of the crash.

Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the scene just before midnight Saturday.

Upon arrival, deputies found a man dead at the scene and a woman was transported to a local hospital where she later died.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on a charge of intoxication manslaughter and transported to a local hospital in custody with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

The intersection will be closed until further notice.


EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash involving at least two vehicles in Far East El Paso.

ABC-7 crews arrived on the scene early this morning and found at least two cars damaged as a result of the crash.
