Last week, two divers living in Western Australia got the shock of their lives when they emerged from a cave and came face to face with a great white shark while hunting for crayfish.

Tim Ryan and Andy Nelson thought they were going diving at Coventry Reef, about 55km south of Perth, last Friday, but things changed quickly when the shark started circling the couple.

Tim went out first and decided he couldn’t go back into the cave because they would lose sight of the predator, making their situation even riskier.

On Monday, Tim and Andy joined Monique Wright on Sunrise to reveal the tricks they used to survive the terrifying encounter.
