COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) – Less than two hours after a motorcyclist died in a two-car crash on Garden of the Gods Road, Colorado Springs Police say another motorcyclist was killed in the crash. This time in SE Colorado Springs.

Colorado Springs Police Officers responded to a crash involving a car and motorcycle in the 1900 block of S Monterey just before 5 p.m.

While the motorcycle driver remained unresponsive at the scene, he died from his injuries before being taken to the hospital.

Colorado Springs Police said that based on preliminary information and eyewitness accounts, speed was a factor in this accident, but the investigation is still ongoing.

The identity of the victim will be announced after the family is notified.
