Cameron Jordan saw this during his 14-year tenure with the New Orleans Saints. But after the team’s latest defeat, all Jordan can do is apologize.

The Saints opened their season with two straight wins, including an impressive 44-19 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. However, things have gone from bad to worse since then, as the Week 9 loss marked New Orleans’ seventh straight defeat. They did not score more than 27 points during the race. Moreover, the Saints have allowed more than 20 points in every game since the first two weeks.

The Saints got on the board first with a pair of field goals. When the Panthers scored their first goal together, Carr and his friends didn’t hesitate. Their back-and-forth battle continued until there were 12 minutes left in the fourth quarter. Carr found Foster Moreau with a 17-yard touchdown pass for a 22-17 lead. But that wouldn’t be enough, as Carolina’s Chuba Hubbard ran in for the eventual game-winning touchdown.

Carr finished his day completing 18 of 31 passes for 236 yards and a touchdown.

Any hopes that New Orleans would make the playoffs were dashed with the Week 9 loss. Even if they win, the Panthers will need help in the league to get in as a Wild Card. But losing seven games doesn’t paint the picture of a playoff team.

Cameron Jordan thought the Saints had what it takes to make a run in 2024. But the only streak New Orleans could keep going was a losing streak. Jordan has certainly seen better days during his tenure.
