PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has confirmed that an 11-year-old boy tragically died Saturday night while boating on Lake Osborne in Palm Beach County.

According to the FWC’s preliminary investigation, two adults and three children were aboard a 20ft pontoon boat sailing through the water when the bow of the vessel suddenly fell, throwing one of the teenagers into the water. Then the boat’s propeller hit the child.

The 11-year-old boy was pulled from the water and transported to shore, but died due to his injuries.
