Police are seeking more details about a man seriously injured following a hit-and-run in Levin.

The accident occurred at 17.20 on Sunday on Hitherlea East Road while the person was walking his dog, which has not yet been found.

While the car left the scene before the police arrived, the police are investigating the cause of the accident.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward or contact them online or on 105 quoting reference number 241103/7573.
