Kamala Harris He made a last-minute appearance on “Saturday Night Live” to add some humor to the final days of the presidential campaign.

The current Vice President and presidential candidate appeared in the Nov. 2 cold open, which opened with a CNN parody starring Chloe Fineman as Kaitlan Collins. It turned into a Trump rally, with James Austin Johnson addressing his garbage truck stunt and vest, his recent strange microphone movements, and controversial Liz Cheney remarks, before Bowen Yang transitioned into the role of Trump vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance.

It then moved on to a conversation about the campaign between Maya Rudolph’s Harris, Dana Carvey’s President Joe Biden, Andy Samberg’s Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, and Jim Gaffigan’s future vice president Tim Walz.

Rudolph’s Harris then asked for a moment to think before her final campaign speech and looked in the mirror and saw the real Harris. The duo said, “Because you can do something your rival cannot do: You can open the doors… Like a garbage truck.” They also talk about how America should “keep protecting Kamala and move on.”

The episode was the fifth episode of the 50th season of “Saturday Night Live.” John Mulaney hosted with pop singer Chappell Roan as his musical guest.

Earlier in the day, Harris was in Atlanta for a rally with guests including Spike Lee and Victoria Monét. He then went to another event in Charlotte featuring Bon Jovi and Khalid. Afterwards “SNLThe Vice President is preparing to travel to Michigan State in East Lansing for a rally on Sunday.

Although Trump did not appear on “Saturday Night Live” this season, he hosted the show twice, once in 2004 and once in 2015 while he was a presidential candidate.
