Israel vs Iran

On October 26, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that its military had conducted “precision strikes” on Iranian military targets.

This was in response to the barrage of missiles that Tehran had fired at Israel a few days ago.

This was the first open attack by the Israeli military on Iran, which had not been subjected to sustained fire from a foreign enemy since its war with Iraq in the 1980s.

Iran’s attacks follow almost a year of conflict between Israeli forces and Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon, including the deaths of senior leaders and clashes in the Gaza Strip.
