The chief advisor of the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus honored Bangladesh’s SAFF winning women’s football team at Jamuna state guesthouse today.

The team, led by Captain Sabina Khatun, arrived in Jamuna at 10.30 am to attend the ceremony.

Following a breakfast meeting with the chief advisor, the South Asian champions approached Dr. They openly discussed the difficulties they faced with Yunus. He assured me that their problems would be solved.

The players presented a signed team jersey and a football to the chief advisor as a token of appreciation. Later, Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan spoke to the media and said that the team’s Dr. He told the details of his meeting with Yunus. Asif stated that both the committee members and the players will now get due recognition and the chief advisor has encouraged the players to continue their winning streak.

Asif Mahmud noted the following: “The esteemed chief advisor invited the SAFF winning women’s team to breakfast and listened to each team member patiently. He asked them for a detailed written list of the issues they had personally conveyed. They also presented him with a signed jersey and football.”

“An extensive discussion took place, covering issues such as accommodation, training facilities, salaries and wage structures. Dr. Yunus assured the players that he would be personally involved in addressing these concerns. We asked them to submit a written list within two to three days. This was delivered to him personally “I will,” he added.

The women’s team, which did not have many match opportunities throughout the year, attributed its recent success to the continuity of training camps. Captains Sabina and Rituparna believe that the year-round camps are instrumental in their success and demand that they continue without interruption. Asif said, “The players stated that their success was due to the year-long camp and requested its continuation. A formal written request will help us address the issue better.”

A total of 25 players and coaches from the team were invited to today’s event, but the assistant coach and goalkeeper coach were not included in the official list. Explaining their absence, Asif said, “Since the BFF president was not in the country, their names were omitted. We arranged the participation of the 25 names we received, but the assistant and goalkeeper coaches were not on the list.”
