HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. — Firefighters with the Humboldt Bay Fire Department (HBF) are reminding residents to drive carefully in the rain after receiving a call Friday reporting that a truck had gone off the road with people trapped inside.

Fire crews responded to the call to rescue trapped people, officials said. Photos taken by HBF show a red truck going down a small embankment and landing perpendicularly into a tree.

Fire personnel said they were able to get everyone out safely.

HBF reminds residents to drive safely in the rain when road conditions are not suitable.
