Venom 3 wins weekend box office and ranks second

Venom: The Last Dance will win the North American box office for the second weekend in a row, according to a report. Boxoffice Pro’s prediction.

Sony Pictures’ sci-fi action film is expected to make between $17 million and $23 million in theaters in the U.S. and Canada after grossing $51 million when it opened a week ago.

starring Tom Hardy (Poison, Mad Max: Fury Road), Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave, martian) and the Temple of Juno (Ted Lasso, Killer Joe), Venom: The Last Dance it currently has an audience score of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes, but a paltry 39% across more than 160 reviews by professional critics. While it also has a lower rating of 6.2 on IMDb, Digital Trends’ gave it only 1.5/5.

The official introduction to the film states: β€œOn the run, Eddie and Venom face pursuit from both worlds. As the going gets tougher, they are forced to make a heartbreaking choice that could signal the end of their symbiotic partnership.”

Here It is described as “a generation-spanning story about families and the special place they live, about sharing love, loss, laughter and life.” The film is directed by Robert Zemeckis and is notable for using generative artificial intelligence technology to alter the actors’ faces and de-age them.

Also starring Robin Wright (Forrest Gump, Unbreakable) and Paul Bettany (WandaVision, A Beautiful Mind), Here It didn’t get off to a great start on Rotten Tomatoes, currently scoring just 38% from more than 50 reviews by professional critics (Guardian’s 1/5 review he calls it “a complete horror show” and only gets a 5.6 rating on IMDb.
