According to the statement made by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov, in his telephone conversation with the British Minister of State for Europe, North America and Overseas Territories, Stephen Doughty, stated that serious progress has been made on the peace agreement with Armenia.

“Minister Bayramov gave detailed information to his interlocutor about Azerbaijan’s views on establishing sustainable peace in the region, the practical steps taken in this direction and the peace process with Armenia. The peace agreement negotiation process initiated by Azerbaijan and the (agreement) project in general are being negotiated,” he said. .

According to the foreign minister, territorial claims against Azerbaijan in the Armenian Constitution constitute the main obstacle to this process.

During the phone call, Bayramov and Dought also discussed the preparations for the COP29 climate conference to be held in Baku on November 11-22.
