An Ohio police officer was “attacked” by a runaway giant inflatable Halloween pumpkin in the middle of the street as he tried to steer it away from traffic, police said.

In the footage captured on the police vehicle’s dashcam, the officer is seen walking towards the giant inflatable Halloween decoration that covers the entire lane of the road, then getting out and approaching it to clear the street.

The pumpkin, blowing through the neighborhood in the wind, is then seen rolling on top of him, completely enveloping him, before landing in front of the police cruiser.

“Fortunately, no officers (or pumpkins) were harmed during the incident,” the Bay Village Police Department said.

A few minutes later, another officer is seen arriving, fencing off the pumpkin in his police vehicle, and getting out to help the first responding officer clear the roadway of the giant Halloween-themed inflatable.

“When backup officers arrived, the pumpkin was returned to the homeowner,” police said.
