CJ Marino scored the winning goal with 10:49 left in the first overtime to lift 11th-seeded West Islip to beat 2nd-seeded Half Hollow Hills West 2-1 in the Suffolk Class AA boys soccer semifinal on Wednesday. Nico Acosta opened the scoring in the first half by scoring a cross from Charlie Basini. West Islip (10-7-1) will face No. 9 Comsewogue in the district championship game at Patchogue-Medford on Saturday at 1 p.m. Carlos Hernandez scored the goal for Hills West to end the second half 12-4-1.

Comsewogue 2, Amityville 1: Nick Hurtado scored the winning goal in overtime, off an assist from Adrian Munoz, as No. 9 Comsewogue defeated No. 4 Amityville in the Suffolk Class AA semifinals. Rodrigo Rubio added the goal with an assist from Brady Mueller, while Ryan Worhle made 13 saves for Comsewogue (9-7). Briam Rivera scored a goal and Christian Araque made six saves for Amityville (10-5-1).

TUESDAY GAMES

Shoreham-Wading River 1, Islip 0: Zach Makarewicz scored the winning goal with 34:32 left to lift No. 3 Shoreham-Wading River ahead of No. 6 Islip in the Suffolk Class A quarterfinals. Ryan Saville had an assist and Branon Smith made five saves. Shoreham-Wading River (13-4) will play No. 1 in the semifinals Saturday at 6 p.m. Will visit 2 Kings Park. Jack Whitehouse made nine saves for Islip, which finished 9-7-1.

GIRLS FOOTBALL

Portledge 3, Hackley School 0: Maddy Jelloe, Addison Martin and Melina VonToussaint scored goals in the quarter-finals of the NYSAIS Tournament, putting 6th-place Portledge ahead of 3rd-place Hackley. Jelloe scored on the penalty kick and made 16 saves at half-time. Jelloe’s goal gave Port-ledge a 1–0 lead before Martin scored late in the first half. VonToussaint scored the last goal of the match in the second half. Portledge (18-1-1) will play at No. 2 Poly Prep in the semifinals on Monday at 2:30 p.m.

West Islip 3, East Islip 2: Jenna Obloj scored the winning goal in overtime off an assist from Leah Tomeo to put No. 2 West Islip ahead over No. 3 East Islip in the Suffolk Class AA semifinals. Erin Palmeri scored the tying goal on a penalty kick with seven minutes remaining. Alex Livingston added a goal and Makenna Gagliardi made seven saves. West Islip (16-1-1), Eastport-South Manor-No. He will face the winner of 1. 5 The Smithtown West final will be held at Shoreham-Wading River on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Sophia Aurrecoechea made seven saves for East Islip (11-3-1).

South Side 2, MacArthur 0: Julie Faranda scored a first-half goal and Jules Roberts also scored as No. 2 South Side beat No. 3 MacArthur in the semifinals of the Nassau Class AA tournament. South Side (9-4-2) will face No. 1 Garden City at Farmingdale State in the final on Friday at 8:30 p.m. MacArthur finished 10-6-2.

Garden City 3, Calhoun 2: Sienna Castellano scored twice to give No. 1 Garden City the lead over No. 3 Calhoun in the Nassau Class AA semifinals. Sophie Rhein brought the score to 1 with the goal she scored in the 17th minute. Ellie Andersen and Kathryn Monaco had assists for Garden City (14-1-4). Ruth Small and Jordana Bello each scored a goal for Calhoun (3-11-3).

Sayville 3, Kings Park 2: Morgan Farrell scored twice to give No. 4 Sayville the lead over No. 5 Kings Park in the Suffolk Class A quarterfinals. Sophia Buffardi scored a goal and Abigal Schroeder, Lucy Livingston and Maiya Troll each had an assist. Olivia Moynihan made 12 saves for Sayville (9-2-3). Sayville will visit No. 1 Islip in the semifinals Friday at 4 p.m. Ava Pelo and Lucy Warywoda scored a goal each for Kings Park (7-5-3).

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Hampton Bays 3, Kings Park 1: Asha Pensa-Johnson had 23 kills and 5 aces to lead No. 3 seed Hampton Bays to a 25-15, 25-14, 21-25, 25-15 victory in the Suffolk Class A quarterfinals. Julia Brandes added 31 assists. Hampton Bays (13-3) will face the winner of No. 2 Westhampton and No. 7 Bayport-Blue Point in the semifinals on Saturday. Kings Park finished the match 6-7.

TUESDAY GAMES

Kellenberg 3, John the Baptist 0: Stella Becker had 14 kills, five digs and two aces to defeat No. 1 seed Kellenberg in the CHSAA semifinals against No. 4 seed St. Louis. He surpassed John the Baptist. Bianca Sapano added 11 kills and 13 assists, including the 1,000th assist of her career. Kelly Miller and Alexis Gerstein each had four kills for Kellenberg (14-0). SWIMMING GIRLS

Hauppauge/Smithtown won the Suffolk I title. Hauppauge/Smithtown captured its fifth consecutive Suffolk I championship with 384.50 points. Julia Lucca, Olivia Chiofolo, Avery Wilcox and Sarah Lucca finished the 200 freestyle relay as leaders with a time of 1:36.68. Half Hollow Hills/Kings Park came in second with 282.50 points, while Huntington/Harborfields/Whitman/Glenn took third place with 229 points.
