CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Authorities in Clearfield County say a local man accused of sexually assaulting a teenager outside a Clearfield County home earlier this week is behind bars.

Police allege Corbin Derbeque, 18, of Lawrence Township, attacked the 17-year-old victim after meeting her at a home on West 6th Street.

According to the affidavit, police said the victim said he and Derbeque had been in contact for an undisclosed amount of time.

According to the victim, on the day of the alleged attack, Derbeque threatened to harm her and allegedly wanted to meet her for a “kiss and hug,” police said.

The victim agreed to meet and stated that the initial encounter with Derbeque was consensual, authorities said.

Police said Derbeque continued to “kiss and touch” the victim before allegedly removing her clothes and performing sexual acts on her.

Investigators say, according to the victim, the woman allegedly sexually assaulted her after “laying her on the ground” outside the residence.

Upon further investigation, police said the text messages confirmed the victim’s claim that she and Derbeque had been communicating for some time before the alleged attack.

Police said the victim also admitted that she and Derbeque had had sexual intercourse before, but stated that all previous encounters were consensual.

Following the alleged attack, police said the victim sent Derbeque multiple messages asking why he was attacking her.

Investigators said the victim reportedly told multiple other teens about the alleged assault before reporting it to police.

Police said during an interview with Derbeque, Derbeque claimed that the victim’s boyfriend had asked her to meet with him.

Authorities said she also talked about her previous sexual encounters and stated they were consensual.

During the interview, police stated that Derbeque “acted nervous” and reportedly changed his story several times.

Police said the victim later admitted that he repeatedly told her to stop during the alleged attack but continued to have sex with her.

He was incarcerated in the Clearfield County Jail on $100,000 bail.
