Reba McEntire Never Met Friend Dolly Parton’s Husband Carl Thomas Dean

The “Here You Come Again” artist explained: “When we first got married, he went somewhere with me, for the BMI Song of the Year (event), and he came out of there with his tuxedo on, his tie on and all that, and he said, ‘Don’t ever ask me to go to one of these damn things again.’ Because I’m not going.’ “I never asked him, and neither did he.”

Parton described her husband as “very honest,” adding: “We have such a great relationship that if I don’t want an honest answer, I know better than to ask him.”

In an interview with Dean earlier that year, he described Dean as “a loner”. Fun Tonight. “He’s a bit of a loner, so he doesn’t really like being around anyone but me,” she said.

“She’s not one to go out there and socialize that much,” Parton added. “He loves living on the farm and taking care of the property he has had for all these years.”
