Miller County, Mo. – On Wednesday, St. A St. Louis man was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated evading a stop following a high-speed pursuit involving the Miller County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched to the area of ​​U.S. Highway 54 outside Eldon to assist the Missouri State Highway Patrol after officers reported a blue 2014 Porsche Boxster was traveling more than 200 mph before arriving on Highway 52, according to a news release from the Miller County Sheriff’s Office. The driver, 37-year-old Brennan Christopher England, did not yield when deputies attempted to stop the vehicle and instead accelerated rapidly.

A deputy stationed near the Miller County Justice Complex deployed a spike strip in an attempt to stop the pursuit, especially as the vehicle approached Miller County R-III School, which was preparing to release students.

England attempted to avoid the spike strip but lost control of his vehicle and eventually crashed into a ditch near Route HHH.

Following the crash, he was transported to a local hospital for evaluation before being taken into custody.

He is being held in the Miller County Adult Detention Center.
