Two Notable Tennessee Titans Receive Injury Updates

Tennessee Titans We enter Week 9 against the New England Patriots 1-6, and that has to do with injuries to some key players on both sides of the ball.

Quarterback Will Levis has been a headliner on the injury report for the past few weeks, while running back Tyjae Spears also found himself on the sidelines nursing hamstring soreness.

However, Titans coach Brian Callahan believes Spears can return this week.

“It would be good for Tyjae to leave this week” Callahan said via team reporter Jim Wyatt:. β€œI expect him to have a good chance to play.”

Getting Spears back would add another dynamic to the offense and take some pressure off starting running back Tony Pollard, who has 75 carries over the last four games for the Titans.

While Spears is on his way back, the same can’t be said for cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, who is likely to start for a third straight game this week against the Patriots.

β€œHe’s probably still working from week to week,” Callahan said through Wyatt. “We’ll see as the week progresses. I hope it’s getting closer.”

Sneed’s absence was a double whammy, as Chidobe Awuzie was also on injured reserve with a groin injury.

Sneed and Awuzie’s absence was notable titans They scored a total of 86 points in the last two weeks while both were out.

There’s a chance Sneed can recover to play on Sunday, but that doesn’t seem likely at this point.

With Sneed likely to be drafted again, you can look for fifth-round rookie Jarvis Brownlee Jr., Roger McCreary and Darrell Baker Jr. to replace him.

titans They will continue to update their situation throughout the week leading up to the game against the Patriots.
