The Congress party in Rajasthan has condemned the ruling BJP government as per an order cited. Calling cows “stray” is “inappropriate” and “derogatory.” The ruling suggested that such cows and other cattle should instead be called “poor” or “helpless”.

Former Rajasthan minister Pratap Singh Khachariyavas told India Today: “BJP is involved in politics through cows. The fact that it wants cows to be called ‘helpless’ or ‘poor’ means it has failed in its duty.”

He emphasized that this change in terminology reflects the government’s failure to provide adequate care and support to cows.

Emphasizing the cultural importance of cattle, the decree said, “Cattle are an important part of our cultural heritage. Nowadays, some cattle become poor and helpless for various reasons and can be seen helpless on the roads and roads. Using the word ‘stray’ for such cattle is contrary to our cultural values.” And it’s insulting.”

Additionally, “For this reason, it is desired that cattle wandering on their own be called ‘poor/helpless’, not ‘stray’.”

The issue of cow welfare has been a focal point in Rajasthan’s politics, especially in the run-up to the elections.

In response to Congress criticism, Rajasthan minister Joraram Kumawat defended the BJP, saying, “The BJP government in Rajasthan has taken various measures for the welfare of cows.”
