WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) — Traffic on Interstate 495 in Wilmington, Delaware, Tuesday morning was a nightmare ride for drivers.

The accident, which occurred around 06:30 in the morning in the 12th Street overpass area, affected both directions of the highway.

Chopper 6’s video shows damaged vehicles both northbound and southbound.

Police said three vehicles, including a tractor trailer, were involved in the crash. Authorities said two passenger cars rolled over during the accident.

New Castle County paramedics said they rescued a 37-year-old driver from his vehicle. He was taken to hospital in stable condition.

The accidents continue to be investigated.
