The pedestrian who was hit by a motorcycle trying to cross the road was seriously injured.

The 82-year-old man was at the pedestrian crossing on Victoria Road West at the Daisy Bank junction in Thornton Cleveleys at around 7.30pm on Monday.

Lancashire Police said he was taken to hospital where he remains.

Police said the motorcyclist, aged in his 20s, was also taken to hospital with serious injuries and “will be spoken to at a later date”. They appealed for witnesses to get in touch.
